The RITEWAY Program is the Right Way  for students to study overseas. It allows students to complete the equivalent of the first year of a Bachelor’s Business degree in the Philippines. This program gives enough credits to gain direct entry into the second year of  a Business degree at one of our university partners located in Australia and UK.

If students just have basic conversational skills in English, they can immediately begin the RITEWAY Program. Students with a low English level can spend an extra one or two months to complete our intensive General English Program at Cleverlearn ESL Course before starting the RITEWAY Program.

Subjects

Principles of Economics
Objectives:
This subject introduces students to the fundamental theory, concepts and relevance of both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Macroeconomics provides detailed understanding of the economic environment and teaches students to analyze and evaluate current economic issues. Individual topics include the concepts about GNP, GDP, national income, monetary and fiscal policies, inflation, international trade and finance. Microeconomics looks at concepts which are needed in the deci- sion making processes of businesses. Various topics include supply and demand theories, resource allocation, theory of the firm and production, pricing variable factors and market structure.

Principles of Marketing
Objectives:
This unit covers the scope of marketing and the marketing environment. It deals with gathering marketing information, analysis and decision-making; market segmentation, targeting and positioning; and consumer and business markets. This unit discusses elements of product management; elements of pricing decisions; selecting and managing channels of distribution; and the promotion mix.

Introductory Financial Accounting
Objectives:
An introduction to financial accounting concepts that enables students to develop essential skills required to be able to prepare financial statements that will provide relevant information for the making of economic decisions. The profit and loss statement, the balance sheet and the retained profits statement are examined, including ledger recording processes, accounting adjustments and the meanings and limitations of the major items, including depreciation, bad debts and inventory. After the initial introduction, students are introduced and become familiar with common professional level practices and theory such as business finances; capital structure; investment decisions; preparation and use of cash flow statements; analysis and interpretation of financial reports; sources of revenue & expenses; assets and liabilities; problems with recognition and
timing

Business Statistics
Objectives:
This course will introduce students to the basic concepts and develop a sound practical knowledge and understanding of statistics and their relevance to the business environment. Topics include types of statistics, probability, distributions, regression and correlation, time series analysis, index numbers and various multivariate techniques.

Business Communication
Objectives:
This unit covers the principles of effective organization and presentation of ideas in written and oral contexts for a range of administrative applications. The unit will be project based, working as far as possible with material from other units in the program. Assessment will take into account individual performance as well as group work. In all, students will be encouraged to explore the intricate relationship between text, technology and audience to maximize the impact of their business presentations

Management
Objectives:
This subject focuses on understanding the role of management in an organizational context. The objectives of the unit are: to acquire knowledge of management processes, to analyze classical and contemporary management theories and to describe the dynamic nature of managerial practice in changing social and economic environments. This subject will cover how management has evolved over time and owes much to modern and post-modern thinking, along with changes in economic principles and society behavior.

Organizational Behavior
Objectives:
This subject provides an overview of the key aspects of major topics in organizational behavior, including: theories of organizations (structure and function); the organization as a social system and new forms of work organization; organizational change; organization communication; the politics of organizations; power, influence, and negotiation; relations between the individual and the organization; organizational climate and culture; ethics, work and family/lifestyle issues; work motivation and loyalty to the organization; well-being in the workplace.

Human Resource Management
Objectives:
The HRM subject introduces key aspects from two perspectives. Firstly, it takes the perspective of the individual employee and examines career management issues such as workplace satisfaction, and the effects of changing your career. Secondly, it takes the perspective of the organization and examines the literature on competencies and planning approaches such as`work force planning'.

The unit contains a strong focus on the attainment of relevant generic skills, and includes resource planning and staffing; employee training and performance appraisal; managing diversity in the workforce; redundancy and outplacement. The unit emphasizes HRM practices in various local countries as well as on the international scene and draws on case studies.

Management & Cost Accounting
Objectives:
This unit provides a review of the extent to which an organization's strategy determines the design of the management accounting system. Strategy is initially discussed as a topic in its own right, before examining how various strategic choices affect management accounting techniques such as: activity based accounting, variance analysis, performance evaluation and capital budgeting. In addition to discussing the influence of strategy on each of these topics, other contemporary issues affecting the topics are also covered.

Business Information Systems
Objectives:
This topic will allow students with no significant business computing background, to learn, develop and understand the fundamentals of business and information technology, and understand the essential need for business information to survive in this dynamic business environment today. A brief overview of the systems development life cycle followed by a detailed study of the preliminary investigation and analysis stages. The functional, structural analysis approach employing data flow diagrams and entity relationship diagrams is adopted.

Business Law
Objectives:
To provide a general understanding of law and its relevance emphasizing those legal issues that confront business people and the ways in which those matters are resolved. The legal system - nature and function of law, sources of the law, crimes and civil wrongs, settlement of disputes; Business organizations – company formation; Corporate and professional negligence; The law of contract - formation, terms (including
exemption clauses); economic factors; discharge; remedies. Specific contracts - Supply of goods and services, contract of employment.

Financial Management
Objectives:
This Finance subject provides students with an understanding of the financial management of organizations, and how funds are raised and allocated within organizations. It covers both the theory relating to various aspects of financial management, and its application in international business practice in western markets.

Topics include: risk-return tradeoff; capital structures and the cost of capital; investment choices; short-term asset and liability management; and dividend policies; which are examined within the risk-return framework.
Other topics covered include asset pricing models, market efficiency, equity and debt, derivative instruments and markets。
